Rouen is one of the easiest day trips out of Paris — here's the fastest, cheapest and least stressful way to reach the Armada.
Direct trains run from Paris Saint-Lazare to Rouen Rive-Droite in about 1 hour 25 minutes, several times a day. The station is a short walk (or quick bus/metro) from the quays. During the Armada, book your seats early — trains on the weekends and the closing Sunday fill up fast. It's the simplest option: no parking, no closures, straight to the heart of the event.
Driving from Paris takes roughly 1h45–2h via the A13. But be warned: during the Armada, central parking fills early and many streets near the Seine close. If you do drive, use a park-and-ride on the edge of the city and take public transport in. For most visitors, the train is faster and far less hassle.
The quays are walkable and the fleet stretches along both banks. Rouen has a metro and buses, plus event-specific shuttles. See Plan your visit for on-the-ground details.
We'll send the official transport & park-and-ride details for 2027 as soon as they're published.
