The Fleet

The ships of the Armada 2027.

Forty or more vessels from around the world will line the Seine — historic tall ships, naval vessels and international training ships. Here's what to expect, and the famous names to look out for.

What kind of ships will be there?

The Armada is the largest free gathering of sailing ships in the world. Across the ten days you'll be able to walk the decks — for free — of a remarkable mix of vessels:

  • Historic tall ships — three- and four-masted square-riggers, the stars of the show.
  • Sail-training ships — naval academy vessels crewed by cadets from dozens of nations.
  • Naval & military ships — modern frigates, patrol vessels and the occasional submarine.
  • Classic & heritage boats — restored schooners, replicas and one-off curiosities.

Famous ships to look out for

The official 2027 line-up is confirmed closer to the event, but several legends are near-regulars at the Armada and worth seeking out:

Le BelemFrance · 1896 three-master
CuauhtémocMexico · training ship
Dar MłodzieżyPoland · full-rigged
KrusensternRussia · four-masted barque
L'Étoile du RoyFrance · frigate replica
ThalassaNetherlands · three-master
MaritéFrance · last wooden Newfoundland schooner
Heads-up: the confirmed ship list and arrival schedule are released by the organisers closer to June 2027. Join the list and we'll send the official fleet the moment it's announced.

How to board the ships

Boarding is free throughout the event. Go early in the day — queues for the most famous ships build quickly by mid-morning, especially at weekends. Want the decks before the crowds, or a private boarding with a guide? Our local team can arrange it.
